Because it is only 1000 lumens then don’t expect it to be ok for more than 6 peoople audience or you might think it’s a good choice for your home, maybe for connecting up to a games console for a bigger screen experience, or showing off some pictures to the friends and family straight from the MicroSD or USB connection or alternatively show off a business presentation to a couple of people. You will have to have all of the lights off and blinds closed when projecting as it is simply not powerful enough to project when the room is light. There are other very light projectors out there that are more powerful, give us a call and we can find one to suit you. The HDMI port on the ML1050ST also supports MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) so you can use a single cable to run from the projector to Micro USB on your smartphone or tablet and it will mirror what is on the screen. This projector is natively widescreen so you can be safe in the knowledge that the movie or pictures you are showing will not have to be stretched to fill the screen. It has a fixed short throw ratio of 0.8:1 so if you want to make the screen bigger or smaller you have to move the whole projector. The lamp life on LED projectors are there to dazzle you but in truth most people buying this projector would not run it 24/7 so don’t get caught up in the hype, buy it because you travel a lot, don’t have much room and fancy a projector with good connectivity. LED does work well in portait mode but feel the brightness won’t be enought for larger displays. Very rare to get a short throw, portable & LED. Remember short throw projectors don’t work will with mobile or non tensioned screens.
One few niche application of this projector, as it has a built in SD card which is popular with photographers, the portability makes it ideal for showing photographs at home or at a clients. Remember it isn’t that bright so you would need to project in a dark room.
