The Canon WUX5800 is a very bright, high definition installation projector, ideal for use in large conference rooms, lecture theatres and photographic studios. With a high brightness of 5800 lumens, the WUX5800 can be used in very bright rooms and still create a clear, vivid image without a problem even on a large screen.
This, along with the WUXGA resolution create fantastic detail which will project videos, photographs, CAD drawings plans, and presentations with ease. The thing that sets the WUX5800 projector (and some of the other Canon range) apart from others is the use of their LCOS technology. It overcomes the typical side effects that you might get with conventional LCD and DLP projectors like a ‘lattice’ and ‘rainbow’ effects, to give you a picture with seamless detail, accurate, life-like colour reproduction and sharp blacks along with smooth judder free video. For this reason, Canon projectors are extremely popular for camera clubs and photographic societies, and if you’re entering competitions this really is the standard you should be aiming for.
This projector does not come with a lens but gives you the opportunity to select the lens which is best suited for your needs. Also, if your projector is mounted and you wanted to change the location, you would only have to change the lens and not the whole projector. As you’d expect, it also has both vertical and horizontal lens shift along with zoom and focus (all motorised). With HDMI, VGA, DVI and Audio connections, the WUX5800 can connect to any laptop, desktop computer, or MacBook, and can also be controlled via RJ45. A superb projector that in our opinion would blow away another WUXGA projector.
